Dear dental colleagues,
Welcome to the third issue of Dentistry India. This
month we continue to expand our coverage of
critical issues facing today’s dentists as they work to provide the
highest standard of care to their patients. To this end, we present a
timely article discussing the various oral manifestations of HIV/AIDS. You also will find a number of useful articles on
subjects essential to your dental practice.
As the official publication of the Dental Council of
India (DCI), Dentistry India includes in-depth educational articles in each issue. In the future, there
will be a test mechanism that will allow you to earn CDE credits accepted
and recognized by the DCI. In the meantime, the current articles include answer keys so that you may test your knowledge
and familiarize yourself with how this process will work when it becomes
available.
The first CDE article focuses on prosthesis design for
anterior single-implant restorations, discussing the esthetic and
functional outcomes of various treatment
approaches. The second article illustrates the importance of developing a
comprehensive treatment plan that recognizes
occlusal issues in restorative cases.
We are pleased to provide this opportunity for all
dentists in India to have an accessible, free method for earning CDE
credits. On behalf of the DCI and the board of Dentistry
India, I thank you for your continuing interest in this publication, and I
encourage your comments and suggestions for
future issues.
