Through the practice of minimally invasive dentistry, oral healthcare providers endeavor first to assess, prevent, and control oral diseases, and then apply techniques that restore function with minimal tissue loss. This concept is part of our expanding role in healthcare—we are no longer simply treating the symptoms of disease, but actively partnering with the patient for optimal results with minimal intervention.
